Sustainability

Our ethos is rooted in designing and making products that empower people to express their individuality at home through colour and design. We understand that our products’ lifecycle and source of materials matter, and we work hard to ensure that our pieces are beautiful and sustainable. From producing many of our designs here in the UK at our own British manufacturers, to working with specially selected mills around the world to bring the best quality yarns, including weaving recycled fibres into many of our products and using VOC-free paint in wallpaper production, we are on a journey to making Harlequin a brand of creative and sustainable integrity.

Our Commitment

Sustainability is at the heart of Harlequin. From designing and making many of our products right here in the UK to sourcing alternative fibres to use in fabric production and working with the best mills to ensure our third parties also meet our standards, the journey to becoming truly sustainable means we are committed to manufacturing with minimal impact on the environment.

This commitment extends beyond our factories to our offices’ green initiatives, culminating in our Group’s work with Planet Mark to become net zero.

Our Creatives

The Harlequin studio is home to incredible creative talent. Our dedicated and creative designers bring art to life through our collections. From initial hand-drawn and hand-painted designs, the studio team creates collections from inspiration found all over the world, including in our archives, drawing from the old and new to bring expressive, contemporary and luxurious designs to the fore.

We ensure that our products made in the UK in our own factories uphold the standard that is synonymous with Harlequin. When sourcing fabrics, we work closely with our mills to understand the environmental impact of everything we source.

As a company, we continue to pioneer ways to stay environmentally-conscious across all elements of our production from design to delivery.
